In this tutorial we will discuss posting media that has been uploaded to V-TIP or YouTube.

When visiting your profile page notice the buttons below the post box at the top of the page.

Each button represents one of our four shareable media types.

Viewing them from left to right we have:

Pictures

Video

Music/Audio

YouTube

Documents

Google Maps

We will cover Google Maps on another post.

Shared media

The first three buttons and the documents button refer to content you have uploaded to your profile.   By clicking the buttons you will see the names of each playlist or picture album in your profile.

In this example we will use the music/audio button shareable type.  Click that button. The list in the box below shows all the music/audio playlists uploaded by the member.

We will use the album called “soundcloud set”. Click on that album and it will appear in the post box.

Type any text or message in the box. If you make a mistake click the ‘x’ in the upper right corner to delete and restart.

Click post to post to the profile page.

That’s it!

Do the same for videos, pictures and documents.

YouTube

Locate the video you wish to post on V-TIP on YouTube.

Copy the URL in the address bar or click the share button and copy the share url.

Go to the profile page and click the YouTube button.

Paste the url you got from YouTube in the box and hit OK.

Type a message if you wish and hit post.

The video has now been posted to the profile page.

Post to a friend’s profile page

If you are permitted to post to a friend’s profile page (by virtue of your relationship to that member), you will see the post box at the top of the page.

Follow the same procedures above.  The only difference is you won’t be able to delete the post if you make a mistake.
